Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering, also known as DSCE was established in the year 1979. DSCE is approved and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The college campus spreads over 29 acres of land. The institute offers several UG, PG and Ph.D courses in various areas. DSCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. As per the NIRF 2020 report, the institute has secured 126th position in the engineering category.
The college has 468 faculty members out of which 116 hold a Ph.D degree. The college enrolls over 6000 students every year.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering also popularly known as DSCE offers admissions to various undergraduate, postgraduate, as well. The courses offered by the college include B.Arch, B.E, MBA, M.Tech, M.Sc as well as Ph.D degrees. Students can apply for the courses as well as sit for the entrance exams conducted by the state to be eligible for admission.
The admissions to these courses are based on the results of entrance examinations like KCET/COMEDK (UG) or PGCET/GATE (PG). This is followed by counselling and document verification process.
Eligibility
To get an admission, the students should qualify entrance examinations like: KCET/COMEDK.
For B.Arch, the students should qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) to get admission.
Eligible students are required to fill an application form on the website of DSCE.
Final admissions will be based after the seat allotment list is finalised as well as the documents are verified followed by fee payment.

Placements
DSCE has a placement cell that coordinates with recruiting companies and handles the entire end-to-end placement process. It is provided with a well-equipped auditorium for organising pre-placement talks and well-furnished rooms for training, interviews and counselling. The cell works closely with the final year students and companies hiring fresher students. It is also committed to enhance the employability skills of the students by organising training programmes, including aptitude training programme, soft-skills training, subject/domain-specific training and entrepreneurship development programmes. In addition to the placement cell, DSCE established a ‘Centre for Innovation & Leadership’ (CIL) in 2006 that bridges the gap between academics and corporate realities. It imparts innovative soft skill training programmes to enable individuals to get placed in top companies.
