Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneshwar, popularly known as XIMB is a UGC approved business school. XIMB is ranked 10 among the Top Management Colleges in India by India Today 2021. The 2-year full-time MBA-Business Management is the flagship program of XIMB. Apart from the MBA-BM program, XIMB offers an Executive MBA in Business Management for working professionals and a Ph.D. program at the doctorate level. Admission to the XIMB management courses is done on the basis of the XAT/ CAT/ X-GMT exam scores followed by the GD and PI round. The cutoff for XIMB admissions goes more than 90 percentile every year.

XIMB MBA-BM ADMISSION 2023

XIMB offers a 2-year MBA in Business Management program. It is the flagship course of the Institute. The course is offered in the duration of 2 years, comprising 4 semesters. The total fee for the course is INR 20,00,000.

Candidates having a minimum 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University or Students in their Final Year of Graduation.

XIMB MBA-BM Selection Criteria:

Section-wise & total cut-off marks of CAT or XAT or X-GMT, will be decided by XIMB for shortlisting the candidates. Shortlisted candidates are called for a Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.

X-GMT Exam Pattern

There are four sections in the X-GMT question paper: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Emotional Quotient & General Awareness. 

The exam is conducted in online mode for two hours. 

• Total Questions: 100 to 125 (variation every year)
• Negative Marking: 1/3 for every wrong answer

XIMB maintains a decent placement record over years. Recently, the institute has released its 2022 placement report. According to the report, the highest salary, average salary & median salary increased by nearly 34.2%, 15.78% & 17.9% respectively as compared to the previous year. The highest salary offered was INR 32.21 LPA & average salary stood at INR 17.54 LPA. The median salary offered was INR 17.10 LPA.

A total of 355 students participated in the placement drive and 100% students were placed. 64 recruiters including 15 new recruiters visited the campus. Major recruiters included ICICI Bank, Accenture, Cognizant. Recruiters came from various sectors. Among all the sectors, most of the offers came from the IT/ITES & Consulting sector.
