Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) was set up in 1955 by the Mysore Education Society. Originally part of the Mysore University and Bangalore University, the institute later got affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The institute has got recognition from the Medical Council of India for undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses.
The courses offered by BMCRI are MBBS, MD, MS, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, DM and M.Ch. Aside from this, it also offers various diploma programs.

The Bangalore Medical College (BMCRI) is a private medical college affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (RGUHS). This college offers various UG and PG courses in Medical Science and Nursing. BMCRI also offers various certificate & Diploma courses under paramedical department.
The college accepts admission through NEET for MBBS course. For Undergraduate nursing and Postgraduate nursing courses, the selection is done via an entrance exams conducted by RGUHS. For MD & MS courses, candidates who have passed their MBBS degree can apply. The final selection will be done on the basis of two different examinations:
50% of the seats are filled through the State Entrance Examination conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
50% of the seats are filled by All India Entrance Examination conducted by Director General of Health Services.
For MBBS programme, students are selected on the basis of their performance in NEET. Students can analyze their performance on the basis of NEET cutoff.
