Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute University was founded in 1988 is located in the city of Chennai. The University offers a variety of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate level along with M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses with various specializations.

The application procedure for all these courses start by the end of January, and is open till the end of May. In order to be considered for admission in the college, the candidates need to sit for an entrance test which is conducted in May. Selection of candidates is based on marks obtained at the entrance examination as well as the qualifying examination.

Admission to all the Undergraduate , Postgraduate and Research courses at MGRERU are done through the national entrance exams or through the entrance test conducted by the university.
