Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar was established in 1992 by Achyuta Samanta. KIIT was declared Deemed to be University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. KIIT has a total of 7 affiliated colleges. The entire KIIT campus is spread over an area of 200 acres of land. KIIT is a private academic institution located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. KIIT Bhubaneswar achieved ‘Tier 1’ accreditation by NBA in 2014. KIIT University has been ranked 39th in the engineering category and 10th in the law category in NIRF 2021 Ranking. KIIT University offers 30 undergraduate programmes. KIIT courses at the UG level include B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Com Hons, B.Des, B.Sc Computer Science, B.A.(Hons), Bachelor of Film and Television Production, B.C.A, B.Tech and M.Tech Biotechnology Dual Degree and Master of Mass Communication Integrated. The course duration of the KIIT B.Tech programme is 4 years and the KIIT B.C.A. programme is 3 years. To be eligible for KIIT B.Tech admission, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have taken together.

KIIT University is located at KIIT Road, Patia, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Bhubaneswar is well connected via flights, trains, and buses. Patia P.H. Railway Station is 2.5 km away and KIIT Bus Stop is 230 metres away from KIIT University. Biju Patnaik International Airport is about 13.1 km away and it will take around 30 minutes to reach the KIIT campus. Students can take a bus or a taxi to reach the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar.
