Established in 1968, St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) is known for imparting quality education in the field of Management. It is located in Bangalore. The Institute is affiliated to AICTE and offers PGDM programme in various specialisations. SJIM has been ranked 95 for MBA by Outlook 2020. The Institute also conducts Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for managers, students, educators, researchers and personnel from public services.
SJIM has signed MoU with various international institutions, including Seattle University (Albers School of Business and Economics)-USA, Putra Business School-Malaysia, Fu Jen Catholic University-Taiwan and the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), USA. The Institute provides all necessary facilities to students, including, a library, spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, sports facilities, an auditorium and accommodation facilities.

An applicant has to appear for an Entrance Test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on an all-India basis at different centers like:-
- All India Test – CAT, XAT or MAT
- A minimum MAT score of 550
- SJIM also accepts other tests such as GMAT, ATMA, CMAT
Candidates will be finalized on the basis of their performance in the entrance followed by essay writing and an interview for the shortlisted candidates.

Placements
Placements of the college is up to the mark for a tier two business school. The college had appointed the director of Corporate relations who has been building the visibility of the college by building a robust alumni network. Up to 100 percent of the students are placed by the end of the final term. The highest package offered this year was INR 22 lakhs per annum. The return rate of companies who offer placements in the college year on year is quite high. This year companies like Goldman Sachs, Kaseya, TCS, Accenture, Indegene, EY, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Adecco, PwC, Hitachi, Reliance Retail, Landmark group, etc had visited. On average the students are offered a package of 7 – 7.5 lakhs PA.
Campus
St. Joseph’s Institute of Management library contains more than 18,300 volumes. journals and periodicals, both national and international, as well as digital collections are available to the students. The College has also subscribed to EBSCO, Emerald, PROWESS, CRISIL Research, Capitaline, E-Books and J-Gate, which are well known online databases and resources to support the research work of students and faculty.
St. Joseph’s Institute of Management hostel is situated in the heart of the city and is just five minutes’ walk from the main campus.There are three types of rooms – single rooms, double rooms and double with an attached bathroom.

Important Dates
- St. Joseph’s Institute of Management admission 2023 is open. The registration for PGDM and PhD courses will be from Dec 1, 2022 to Feb 1, 2023.
- XAT exam date 2023 has been announced on Aug 8. The XAT registration 2023 will take place between Aug 10 and Nov 30 and the exam will be conducted on Jan 8, 2023.
